    Do’s:

    1. Dress to Impress: Embrace your inner Disney character or channel your spooktacular creativity with a mind-blowing costume! From pint-sized princesses to adventurous pirates, the more imagination, the better. Just remember, family-friendly costumes are the key to a magical night!
    2. Trick-or-Treat with Gusto: Who said trick-or-treating was just for kids? Grab a treat bag and join the candy quest! Disney knows how to satisfy those sweet cravings, and the candy stations spread throughout the park are proof that the haunted fun knows no age limits.
    3. Snap-a-Lot: Capturing memories is as essential as pumpkin spice on Halloween. Keep those cameras charged and ready because you’ll encounter Disney characters donning spooktacular costumes, and you’ll want to snap a selfie with every single one of them!
    4. Howl with the Boo-to-You Parade: When the clock strikes parade time, make sure you’ve got a primo spot along Main Street, U.S.A. This spooktacular procession boasts everything from cheerful ghosts to villains who forgot they’re supposed to be scary – pure Disney magic!
    5. Prepare to Be Bewitched: The Hocus Pocus Villain Spectacular is a must-see! The Sanderson Sisters have come back from the grave, and they’re ready to put on a spell-binding show with their mischievous humor. Hocus Pocus fans, rejoice!

    Don’ts:

    1. Don’t Get Spooked by Crowds: Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is wildly popular, so be prepared for some monstrous crowds. But fear not! Arrive early to maximize your magical moments and scare away any worries about lines.
    2. Don’t Forget Your Boo-tiful Ticket: You’ll need a special ticket for the event, but trust us, it’s worth every ghastly penny. Book early to avoid the fright of missing out!
    3. Don’t Get Lost in the Haunted Attractions: While the Haunted Mansion is a classic must-see, remember there are many bewitching rides with shorter lines during the party. Hop on the revamped Pirates of the Caribbean or fly high with Dumbo for a different kind of Halloween thrill.
    4. Don’t Miss the Hauntingly Delicious Treats: From pumpkin-spiced everything to candy-corn-covered goodies, Disney serves up spooktacular treats that will leave your taste buds howling for more. Don’t let these treats disappear like a ghost; try as many as you can!
    5. Don’t Leave Early: Last but not least, stay until the stroke of midnight (or at least until the park closes)! Witness the spellbinding Boo-to-You Finale, where the Hitchhiking Ghosts and the Spectral Bride close the party with a burst of magic and mischief.

  • Baby’s First Disney Trip

    Baby’s First Disney Trip 11/14/2021

Taking baby on their first trip is filled with a lot of emotions. Did we pack everything? Did we overpack? Did I pack enough clothes for a day trip? So many questions and overthinking. For someone so tiny, they sure have a lot of stuff. Luckily, I have a few strategies to help anyone along this exciting milestone in family life.

    Pack the Basics

The best thing about Disney is the baby care center. If you happened to forget something or didn’t pack enough they will have it. If you are an annual passholder you can use your discount there too. Below is our basic list for our day trip. I am a list person and it helps me stay organized.

    • Stroller
    • Diaper bag
    • Diapers ( a diaper per hour is the rule of thumb)
    • Diaper rash cream
    • A trash bag or wet bag for those dirty diapers
    • Hand sanitizers
    • Baby wipes
    • Sunscreen
    • Baby carrier (Mila loves breaks out of her stroller)
    • Food for baby ( breastmilk, formula, bottles, however you feed them make sure to have extra for your days worth)
    • Breastpump for car trip
    • Clothes (You know your baby best. We brought 4 outfits)
    • Toys
    • Water
    • Diaper changing pad
    • Blankets

    Day in the Park

    Entering the Park

It was a perfect sunny day and the best Florida weather you could ask for in November. Since Mila was still so little and Covid was still around we didn’t do any rides. We checked out the animals around the park and checked out the holiday snacks. If you are looking for a chill Disney day, and like animals; this is the place to be for your little one.

Best napping place on the trip

Mila spent the majority of the time in her stroller, but when she wanted a break and just to see what is going on, the baby carrier came in handy. It was her first time in this carrier and she loved it. It is a great tool to have if you like being hands free while carrying your baby.

    Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming

    Eating with baby

Again that baby carrier came in handy. With all the excitement around Mila, wanted to see what was going on. If you are looking for an amazing meal with at home cook feeling, head to Chef Art Smith’s Homecoming. (Reservations recommended) I have lost count on how many times we have frequented this Disney Spring restaurant, but it is our go-to for a delicious sit-down meal. Again, if you have that annual pass holder card you can utilize that discount. This restaurant was so accommodating with a stroller and all the wait staff enjoyed seeing Mila.

    Braised Short Ribs $37.00
    Harvest Salad $19.00

    Some takeaways from the trip

We took our time getting there and at the park. We didn’t rush which meant we didn’t stress. This trip wasn’t about getting the perfect Disney experience, it was about enjoying our time together. We stopped a lot and took in every moment. Mila is a great traveler and being used to car trips really helped us. We did our best staying on her schedule for feedings and naps. Overall, strolling through animal kingdom was a memory I know we will never forget. This was the perfect park to take Mila on her first of many Disney trips.
