Everything I’m Packing for My First Halloween on the High Seas Disney Cruise (Amazon Favorites Included) πŸŽƒπŸš’

Planning your first Disney Cruise? Here’s everything I’m packing for our family’s first Halloween on the High Seas sailing, including Amazon must-haves, cabin organization favorites, Pirate Night essentials, and family-friendly cruise gear.

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

Our First Disney Cruise Is Finally Here!

This September, our family is setting sail on our very first Disney Cruiseβ€”and it’s a Halloween on the High Seas sailing!

As someone who loves Disney vacations, I’ve spent months researching everything I should pack before embarkation day. Between Disney Cruise Facebook groups, YouTube videos, Pinterest, and seasoned cruisers’ blogs, I’ve put together a packing list of products that are recommended over and over again.

Instead of guessing once we board, I want to be prepared for everythingβ€”from Pirate Night to pool days and Halloween festivities.

This is everything we’re packing for our first Disney Cruise, and after we return, I’ll update this post with what we actually used (and what stayed in the suitcase).

Why Halloween on the High Seas Is So Special

Halloween on the High Seas transforms your Disney Cruise into an even more magical vacation.

    You’ll find:

    • Halloween-themed decorations throughout the ship
    • Mickey’s Mouse-querade Party
    • Trick-or-treating
    • Pumpkin Tree ceremony
    • Character costumes
    • Spooky entertainment
    • Pirate Night
    • Halloween-themed treats

Since this is our very first sailing, we’re planning for both the Halloween festivities and a relaxing tropical vacation.

    Disney Cruise Cabin Essentials

One thing I learned quickly while researching is that Disney Cruise cabins are designed efficientlyβ€”but a few inexpensive products make them even better.

These are going in our suitcase:

    Magnetic Hooks

The cabin walls and doors are magnetic, making hooks perfect for hanging backpacks, hats, lanyards, swimsuits, and jackets.

    Packing Cubes

Packing cubes keep everyone’s clothes organized and make unpacking much easier.

    Hanging Toiletry Organizer

Instead of cluttering the bathroom counter, a hanging organizer keeps everything in one place.

    Motion-Sensor Night Light

Perfect for middle-of-the-night bathroom trips without turning on the bright cabin lights.

    Pop-Up Laundry Hamper

Dirty clothes pile up quickly during a cruise. A collapsible hamper keeps everything contained.

    USB Charging Hub

With phones, watches, cameras, and portable chargers, extra USB ports are essential.

Halloween on the High Seas Essentials

Since we’re sailing during Halloween season, we’re bringing a few festive extras.

    Our list includes:

I’m especially excited to decorate our cabin door!

    Pirate Night Must-Haves

Pirate Night is one of the most popular evenings on every Disney Cruise.

    We’re packing:

    • Pirate shirts
    • Pirate accessories
    • Pirate ears
    • Bandanas
    • Glow bracelets
    • Temporary pirate tattoos
    • Comfortable pirate-themed outfits

Disney provides pirate bandanas, but we’re adding a few extra accessories to make it even more fun.

Pool Deck & Island Day Essentials

Whether we’re relaxing onboard or exploring Disney’s island destination, these are coming with us.

    • Portable neck fan
    • Cooling towels
    • Refillable insulated water bottles
    • Reef-safe sunscreen
    • Waterproof phone pouch
    • Beach tote
    • Sunglasses
    • Flip-flops
    • Swim cover-ups
    • Water shoes

Florida and the Caribbean can be incredibly warm, so staying cool is one of my biggest priorities.

    Cruising With Kids

Since we’re traveling as a family, a few kid-friendly essentials made my packing list.

    We’re bringing:

    • Kids backpack
    • Disney autograph book
    • Reusable snack containers
    • Refillable water bottle
    • Headphones
    • Small travel games
    • Favorite stuffed animal
    • Tablet for downtime
    • Magnetic travel games

    Embarkation Day Carry-On Bag Checklist

One tip I kept seeing from experienced cruisers was to pack a separate carry-on bag.

Because luggage doesn’t arrive immediately, we’ll have everything we need to start enjoying the ship right away.

    Our carry-on includes:

    • Swimsuits
    • Flip-flops
    • Sunscreen
    • Medications
    • Phone chargers
    • Travel documents
    • Wallet
    • Refillable water bottles
    • Snacks
    • Change of clothes

That way, we can head straight to lunch or the pool while waiting for our luggage.

    Disney Cruise Outfit Ideas

I’m also planning outfits for every major event onboard.

    Including:

    • Embarkation Day
    • Pirate Night
    • Halloween on the High Seas
    • Formal Night
    • Casual dinner outfits
    • Port adventures
    • Pool days

I’ll be sharing all of our outfits here on the blog and on Pinterest after our cruise.

My Disney Cruise Amazon Shopping List

I’ve created an Amazon list with everything we’re packing for our first Disney Cruise.

    Some of my favorites include:

    • Packing cubes
    • Magnetic hooks
    • Portable fan
    • Hanging toiletry organizer
    • Waterproof phone pouch
    • Portable charger
    • Motion night light
    • Refillable water bottle
    • Pop-up laundry hamper
    • Cooling towels

(Insert your Amazon Idea List or Storefront here.)

I’ll Update This After Our Cruise

One thing I want this blog to be is honest.

Right now, this is everything we’re planning to pack based on research from experienced Disney cruisers.

After our September Halloween on the High Seas cruise, I’ll update this post with:

    • What we actually used every day
    • What never left the suitcase
    • The products that were absolutely worth buying
    • What I’d pack differently next time
    • My favorite Disney Cruise tips after experiencing it firsthand

If you’re planning your first Disney Cruise too, I hope this packing list helps you feel as excited and prepared as we are!

    Happy cruising! πŸš’πŸŽƒ

    Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need costumes for Halloween on the High Seas?

No, costumes are optional, but many guests enjoy dressing up for Halloween-themed events. Comfortable Disney-inspired outfits work just as well.

Are magnetic hooks really worth bringing?

Yes! Since Disney Cruise cabin walls are magnetic, hooks are one of the easiest ways to add extra storage space for hats, backpacks, lanyards, and wet swimsuits.

What should you pack in your carry-on bag?

Pack swimsuits, medications, travel documents, sunscreen, chargers, a change of clothes, and anything you’ll want before your checked luggage arrives at your cabin.

Is Pirate Night included on Halloween on the High Seas cruises?

Most Halloween on the High Seas itineraries include Pirate Night in addition to the Halloween festivities, though entertainment can vary by sailing.

  • 10 Rapunzel Disneybound Outfits I’d Actually Wear to Disney

10 Rapunzel Disneybound Outfits I’d Actually Wear to Disney

Rapunzel is one of my favorite characters to Disneybound because her color palette is so easy to wear in real life. Lavender, blush pink, soft florals, gold accessories, and even a little touch of green can create a Rapunzel-inspired outfit without feeling like you’re wearing a costume.

And if you’ve been following my Disney outfit posts, you know my biggest rule: the outfit has to be cute, but I also need to be able to actually wear it for a real Disney day.

That means comfortable shoes, breathable fabrics, practical bags, and outfits that can survive Florida heat, long lines, snacks, rides, and plenty of walking.

Whether you’re planning a day at Magic Kingdom, a Disney Cruise, a character meal, or just want a subtle princess-inspired look, here are 10 Rapunzel Disneybound outfits I’d actually wear.

This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission from qualifying purchases at no additional cost to you.

    1. The Classic Rapunzel Disneybound Outfit

When I think of a classic Rapunzel Disneybound, I immediately think of a pretty lavender dress with subtle pink and floral accessories.

For this look, I would start with a comfortable lavender athletic dress or casual sundress. Add white sneakers, a small crossbody bag, and delicate floral accessories.

Comfortable and can be used for everyday wear

    The outfit formula:

This is probably the easiest Rapunzel outfit to put together because the purple dress does most of the work.

For a park day, I would personally choose an athletic-style dress with built-in shorts or wear lightweight shorts underneath a casual dress. I want to be able to get on rides, chase after my daughter, and walk around all day without constantly adjusting my outfit.

    2. Hot Weather Rapunzel Disneybound

Florida heat can completely change my opinion of an outfit.

Something might look adorable when I’m getting ready in the hotel room, but if I’m uncomfortable an hour after entering the park, it’s not worth it.

Summer Fit to keep you Cool & Comfy

For a hot-weather Rapunzel outfit, I would choose lightweight pieces:

This is a much more subtle Disneybound, but the purple and pink combination still gives Rapunzel energy.

I especially like this kind of outfit for summer because every piece has a purpose. Nothing is heavy or overly complicated, and the athletic fabrics are much more comfortable when temperatures rise.

    3. Casual Rapunzel Park Outfit

You don’t need a dress to create a cute Rapunzel-inspired look.

For a casual park outfit, I love the idea of pairing lavender shorts with a soft pink T-shirt or fitted tank.

Add comfortable sneakers and a practical crossbody or belt bag.

    My outfit formula would be:

This is one of those outfits that doesn’t immediately scream princess outfit, which is exactly why I like it.

Someone who loves Rapunzel will recognize the colors and little details, but it still feels like a normal, wearable Disney outfit.

    4. Mom-Friendly Rapunzel Disneybound

As a mom, my Disney outfits have to pass a slightly different test.

Can I carry snacks? Can I hold everything my daughter suddenly decides she doesn’t want to carry? Can I comfortably sit on the ground for a parade if necessary?

For this outfit, I would build the entire look around comfort.

    Try:

I love an athletic skort for Disney because you get the cute look of a skirt with the practicality of shorts.

Add a small crossbody bag that can hold your phone, cards, sunscreen, and a few essentials, and you’re ready for a full park day.

    5. Rapunzel Tennis Dress Outfit

The tennis dress trend works perfectly for Disneybound outfits.

For Rapunzel, I would choose a lavender or soft purple athletic dress and let the accessories create the rest of the look.

    Pair it with:

This is one of my favorite ways to Disneybound because it requires very little outfit planning.

One dress, a comfortable pair of shoes, and a few accessories can create the entire look.

It’s also easy to layer. If you’re visiting during cooler weather, add a cropped cardigan or lightweight zip-up jacket.

    6. Rapunzel-Inspired Midi Dress

Not every Disneybound outfit needs to be designed for walking around a theme park all day.

A purple or lavender midi dress would be perfect for a Disney resort dinner, character dining, Disney Springs, or a Disney Cruise dinner.

    I would pair it with:

This is a more grown-up interpretation of Rapunzel’s look.

I would keep the accessories subtle and let the colors tell the story.

This would also be a beautiful outfit for family photos.

    7. Cooler Weather Rapunzel Disneybound

Yes, Florida does occasionally get chilly!

For cooler park days, I would create a cozy Rapunzel outfit using lavender and blush pink layers.

    Try:

Another option would be lavender leggings with a cream sweatshirt and purple accessories.

I like this approach because you don’t need every piece of the outfit to be purple. Using a neutral base and adding a few recognizable colors can make the outfit feel much more wearable.

    8. Subtle Rapunzel Disneybound

This one is for anyone who wants princess inspiration without wearing a full purple outfit.

Start with a neutral base and add small Rapunzel-inspired details.

    For example:

The sun symbol is such an easy way to add a little Rapunzel reference without making the outfit feel overly themed.

I also love floral accessories for this look because they reference Rapunzel’s long, flower-covered braid in a subtle way.

    9. Rapunzel Disney Cruise Outfit

A Disney Cruise is one of my favorite places to wear Disney-inspired outfits because there are so many opportunities to dress for different themes.

For a Rapunzel-inspired cruise outfit, I would choose something breezy and easy.

    My outfit formula:

This would work for dinner, photos around the ship, or an evening show.

For a casual daytime cruise look, swap the sundress for lavender shorts and a white or blush tank.

The goal is to keep the Rapunzel color palette while making the outfit feel appropriate for being on a cruise.

    10. Rapunzel Mommy-and-Me Outfit Idea

I love coordinating outfits with my daughter, but I don’t think we always need to wear identical outfits.

For a Rapunzel-inspired mommy-and-me look, I would coordinate the colors instead.

    For Mom:

    For Kids:

The outfits look coordinated in photos without being exact copies of each other.

This is especially cute for character dining, a Magic Kingdom day, or a Disney Cruise.

How to Create a Rapunzel Disneybound Without Buying an Entire New Outfit

Before buying anything, I always recommend looking at what you already own.

    You might already have:

Start with one or two Rapunzel colors and build from there.

    The easiest formula is:

Purple + pink + floral detail + gold accessory

You don’t need every single element. Even two or three can create the overall inspiration.

The Best Shoes for a Rapunzel Disneybound

I will always choose comfortable shoes over shoes that perfectly match an outfit.

For a full Disney park day, my first choice would be a pair of supportive sneakers that I already know I can comfortably walk in.

White, cream, or light neutral sneakers work beautifully with Rapunzel-inspired colors.

For dinner, resort hopping, or a Disney Cruise evening, I would choose comfortable flat sandals.

My rule is simple: never test brand-new shoes on a full Disney park day.

An adorable outfit is much less fun when your feet hurt before lunch.

    My Favorite Rapunzel Disneybound Outfit

If I were choosing one of these outfits for my next Disney trip, I would pick the lavender athletic dress outfit.

It’s simple, comfortable, and easy to style.

I would wear a lavender athletic dress with comfortable white sneakers, a small neutral or pink crossbody bag, delicate gold jewelry, and a floral hair accessory.

It’s enough to clearly give Rapunzel inspiration while still being an outfit I’d genuinely wear all day.

    Final Thoughts

Rapunzel is one of the easiest princesses to use for Disneybound inspiration because her colors work so well with everyday clothing.

You can go obvious with a lavender dress and floral accessories or keep things subtle with neutral clothing and small purple, pink, and gold details.

For me, the best Disneybound outfits are always the ones that feel like your normal style with a little Disney inspiration added in.

Whether you’re planning a hot summer park day, a Disney Cruise, dinner at a resort, or a mommy-and-me look, there are so many ways to create a Rapunzel-inspired outfit that is both cute and comfortable.

And that’s always my goal: an outfit I love in photos but can also actually enjoy wearing all day.

If you’re planning a Walt Disney World, Disneyland, or Disney Cruise vacation this year, Prime Day can be one of the best times to stock up on the items you’ll actually use.

As a Disney mom, I always keep an eye out for deals on products that make park days easier, cooler, and more comfortable. These are the Disney essentials I’m personally watching for Prime Day 2026.

    1. Portable Neck Fan

Florida heat is no joke. A rechargeable neck fan is one of my favorite Disney park essentials.

    Why I love it:

    • Hands-free cooling
    • Lightweight and easy to pack
    • Perfect for parade waiting and long lines

    2. Portable Charger

Between Lightning Lane, Mobile Order, PhotoPass, and checking wait times, your phone battery works overtime.

A portable charger is one item I never leave the resort without.

Pro-tip buy your fuel rod off of Amazon and change them throughout your stay. You will thank me later.

    3. Cooling Towels

Cooling towels are affordable, lightweight, and surprisingly effective during hot summer park days.

Simply wet, wring, and wear around your neck for instant relief.

    4. Disney Backpack or Park Bag

The perfect park bag should be:

    • Lightweight
    • Comfortable
    • Easy to organize
    • Large enough for essentials without being bulky

Prime Day is usually a great time to find Disney-inspired backpacks and crossbody bags.

    5. Reusable Water Bottle

Staying hydrated is one of the easiest ways to survive a long Disney day.

I always bring a reusable water bottle and refill it throughout the parks.

    6. Anti-Chafing Stick

If you’ve walked 20,000+ steps in Disney, you know why this made the list.

An anti-chafing stick is a small item that can make a huge difference during a full park day.

    7. Stroller Fan

For families visiting with little ones, a stroller fan is a must.

It helps keep kids comfortable during:

    • Character waits

    Florida weather changes quickly.

A compact umbrella can provide shade during the day and keep you dry during surprise rain showers.

A good pair of sunglasses helps protect your eyes while spending long days outdoors.

I always keep a backup pair in my park bag.

    10. Crossbody Bag

A crossbody bag is one of my favorite Disney accessories because it keeps essentials close while leaving both hands free.

    • Park tickets

10 Beach Essentials I Packed for Myrtle Beach (And Actually Used)

There’s something special about a family beach trip. Between the sunshine, salty air, and watching your child play in the sand, Myrtle Beach is one of those destinations that creates lasting memories.

As a mom, I’ve learned that a successful beach day starts long before you step onto the sand. Packing the right items can make the difference between a relaxing day and a stressful one.

After several beach trips with my family, these are the beach essentials I packed for Myrtle Beach and actually used.

Baby’s first trip to the beach πŸ’•

    1. Beach Wagon

A beach wagon made hauling towels, toys, snacks, and drinks much easier. If you’re traveling with children, this is one item I wouldn’t skip.

    2. Portable Fan

The South Carolina summer heat is no joke. A portable rechargeable fan helped keep everyone comfortable during the hottest part of the day.

    3. Waterproof Phone Pouch

Between ocean waves, wet swimsuits, and sandy hands, a waterproof phone pouch gave me peace of mind while still allowing me to take photos.

    4. Beach Toys

Simple toys like buckets and shovels provided hours of entertainment. Sometimes the simplest activities create the best memories.

Simple beach toys seriously kept the little ones entertained.

    5. Cooler for Snacks and Drinks

Having cold drinks and fresh fruit available made beach days much more enjoyable.

    6. Sunscreen

Frequent reapplication is a must, especially for little ones spending hours outdoors.

    7. Beach Towels

Pack more than you think you’ll need. Between swimming, spills, and sandy hands, extra towels always come in handy.

    8. Reusable Water Bottles

Staying hydrated is essential during long beach days.

    9. Beach Tote

A large tote helped keep sunscreen, phones, keys, and snacks organized.

    10. Portable Charger

Between photos, videos, maps, and entertainment, phones drain quickly during vacation.

    Final Thoughts

One of my favorite moments from this trip was simply sitting on the beach watching my daughter enjoy the sand and ocean. Those simple family moments are what vacations are really about.

If you’re planning a Myrtle Beach vacation, I hope this packing list helps make your trip a little easier and a lot more enjoyable.

10 Things Disney Moms Always Pack (But First-Timers Forget)

Planning your first Disney World vacation? While most families remember the basics like tickets, sunscreen, and comfortable shoes, there are a few items experienced Disney moms never leave behind.

After countless Disney trips with my daughter, these are the items that have saved us from meltdowns, long lines, unexpected spills, and Florida heat.

    1. Portable Fan

A rechargeable portable fan is one of the best Disney purchases I’ve made.

Whether attached to a stroller or used while waiting for a parade, it provides instant relief during hot Florida afternoons.

Got this 2-pack to help mama and baby

    Why I Pack It

    • Keeps kids cool
    • Helps during long outdoor queues
    • Great for stroller naps

    2. Cooling Towel

Cooling towels take up almost no space but make a huge difference.

Simply wet, wring, and place around your child’s neck for immediate cooling.

    Disney Mom Tip

Store one in your park bag every day, especially during summer.

    3. Portable Charger

Between Mobile Order, Lightning Lane, Disney PhotoPass, and taking photos, phones drain quickly.

    A portable charger keeps:

    • Phones charged
    • Disney apps working
    • Cameras ready for magical moments

    4. Sunscreen Stick

    Forget messy sunscreen bottles.

A sunscreen stick makes reapplication quick and easy, especially on:

    • Faces
    • Ears
    • Necks
    • Shoulders

    5. Body Glide

Long park days mean lots of walking.

    Body Glide helps prevent:

    • Chafing
    • Blisters
    • Discomfort

This is one of my most recommended Disney products.

    6. Refillable Water Bottle

Hydration is essential at Disney World.

The good news? Disney provides complimentary cups of ice water at quick-service locations.

Bring an insulated bottle and refill it throughout the day.

    7. Wet Wipes

Wet wipes solve more Disney problems than almost any other item.

    Perfect for:

    • Sticky hands
    • Snack messes
    • Spills
    • Quick cleanups

    8. Extra Outfit

If you’re traveling with young kids, always pack a backup outfit.

Between splash pads, water rides, sweat, and unexpected accidents, you’ll be glad you did.

One spill drink on a favorite dress…always bring another favorite dress

    9. Ziplock Bags

This might be the most underrated Disney packing item.

    Use them for:

    • Wet clothes
    • Leftover snacks
    • Electronics
    • Trash
    • Souvenirs

    10. Snacks

Nothing prevents a Disney meltdown faster than having snacks ready.

    I always pack:

    • Granola bars
    • Applesauce pouches
    • Crackers
    • Fruit snacks

They save money and keep everyone happy between meals.

    My Disney Mom Packing Strategy

Every morning before heading to the parks, I make sure these items are packed and ready to go.

Being prepared means less stress, fewer unexpected purchases, and more time enjoying the magic.

    Final Thoughts

Disney World is a lot more enjoyable when you’re prepared.

These ten items have earned a permanent spot in my Disney park bag because they’ve helped us stay cool, comfortable, and ready for whatever the day brings.

If you’re planning your first Disney vacation, save this list and thank yourself later.
